Pummarola:
La Pizza Napoletana

Neapolitan pizza (Italian: pizza napoletana) is one of the most unique styles of pizza to come from Italy. It is soft in the center with a fire-kissed crust. Neapolitan pizza must be made with San Marzano tomatoes, which grow on the volcanic plains south of Mount Vesuvius. Only fresh mozzarella cheese may be used, made from the milk of water buffalo raised in the marshlands of Campania and Lazio.

Neapolitan pizza is a Traditional Speciality Guaranteed (TSG) product in Europe, and the art of its making is included on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
